I came across this today - which is the best list I have seen for this diverse fleet:

I would be interesting in hearing more about their passenger cars, and what items may have been left off their roster.

The root for this site (below) has many other recent passenger car photos as well.

If anybody is interested, I can send a roster to them.

There are a couple of mistakes in the Railpictures discriptions. The 8806 is the Dixie Flyer, and is the match to the 8807 Conductor's Cafe. These cars were semi-permanantly coupled when they arrived at GSMR. The site calls the 8806 the Southland, which was previously mentioned and pictured.

There are five open cars that are ex-KCS Baggage cars, built by Pullman in 1959 I believe. These are the Sarge Revis, Almond, Olivine, Whittier, and Topton. The Topton is equipped with disc brakes. The Wildwater appears to be a Canadian car. I do not remember exactly where the Fontana, or Nantahala are from, but the Nantahala was built from a former coach, and is the only open car to have a vestibule. The Tuckaseegee and the Oconaluftee are ex N&W Flats with a wood body.

The Crescent is an ex Sou car as far as I know. It has round porthole windows in the end doors.

The Jackson and the Cherokee are ex-CN commuter cars from either Toronto or Montreal. The Cherokee is undergoing a major interior restoration. We are trying to save as much Mohogany as possible, but much as been destroyed over the rebuilds in commutor service. They are the only two cars on the roster with the original stepped rooflines.
