This photo looks like Lee Tidewater Cypress Co. No. 1, at the first Steamtown in N. Walpole, NH. The background looks like Fall Mountain, but the No. 67 is puzzling, as I never saw No. 1 with any other number. Any guesses? http://www.railimages.com/gallery/Histo ... totype/abs Then this one is obviously NKP/AC&Y/D&MM 44/304, with another odd road number. When I arrived east in 1968, neither carried these numbers, so I presume this was a moment of "it's mine and I can paint it any way I want" by F. Nelson Blount, sometime before 1968? http://www.railimages.com/gallery/Histo ... totype/abu |
