I am looking to purchase a repairable/usable four shot Detroit lubricator. A Nathan would be a second choice only because we have spare parts for the Detroit. Also is there any place we could purchase two new two inch top unloader safety valves. These are needed for a new boiler being prepared for ops this spring. We have Kunkles that are side discharge but prefer top unloaders witout having to add the piping needed for the side unloaders. Also we have trading material.
Thanks, Rick.

We had Lunkenheimer top openers on our engine I worked on years ago. I think the current one has open top Kunkles.

Wouldn't this have been a great start for the classifieds section?

2" might be difficult to find in "real" locomotive pop valves new. I think Strasburg doesn't make them this small. Unless you can find decent old ones out there, side vent might be your only option. If you convert side vent with a schedule 80 street elbow, they will last longer of a half inch hole is drilled through the elbow out the bottom to drain away rain and junk that otherwise might be funnelled into the valve.

Have you tried Bernie for the lubricator?
