The Landmarks Committee of the National Park System Advisory Board recommended designation of the Nevada Northern Railway for listing as National Historic Landmark. The National Park System Advisory Board next considers the recommendation (their next scheduled meeting is in June although recommendations on the agenda have not been announced). The final step in the process rests with the Secretary of the Interior.
