In order to put in a right turn lane for the tunnel from Detroit to Windsor, Canada, about a block of the Detroit trolley line is being removed. The trolley line will now end at the entrance to Hart Plaza. This removes the Renaissance Center as a destination for the trolley and makes it difficult, if not impossible to extend the trolley east. I believe the state of Michigan and Detroit city government are making a big mistake here.
