The loco is currently out of traffic awaiting the fitting of new crown stays. Should be ready soon I think. |

Certainly looks quite different without the smoke lifters. Removed for testing or not applied at this time? Joshua |

They would have been removed during the indicated testing. It was standard Swindon practice to build a shelter around the front for the technicians. In the case of 71000 the exhaust deflectors were in the way. |
