Post subject:  Conway Scenic 7470 Update

According to Conway Scenic's website, former Canadian National 0-6-0 #7470 will once again be operational during 2006. I believe the last time the engine ran was 2000/2001. It's really a neat little engine, and looks and sounds great running up and down the former B&M branch - Especially during the fall color.

That is two 0-6-0s returning to steam this year after 5 years of being down for boiler repairs. Things are looking up.

Great news, and kudos to two more of the "young guns of steam," Jason Lamontagne and Brian Fanslau -- from the mechanical shop of Boothbay Railway Village in Maine.
