Post subject:  Pair of Hale and Wilburn walk-overs on eBay

With the recent discussion of Hale and Kilburn seats and patent numbers in two threads, here's a pair of seats on eBay.

Don't know if the seller is confused on the Wilburn/Kilburn, they're simply selling on consignment.

Looks as though they're going to go for 'cheap' unless there's alot of action in the final minutes of the auction.

Be aware that the seller says they are from the Chicago Transit system (CTA) and I recognize the “seat back brown.” These are narrower than the standard railroad coach seat, one reason they never had arms, but might work for the end seats against the bulkhead in a coach. At least the seller gives a measurement for the width, 39 ½”, but doesn’t say if this is the width of the cushion or over the frame.
