Anybody out there working on a Federal "Small Start" grant proposal? Last time I checked, the rules hadn't been written yet, but the program seems to be engenedering a lot of interest. dave |

What is it? Yahoo didn't turn up much information. Is it for for-profit businesses or non-profits? |

It simplifies and speeds up the grant process for limited scope, low cost transit systems federal funding. The public commentary period has recently ended, and wondering what evolved, and if anybody was now working on applications,and if so, based on what criteria. I have emailed the DOT contact for the company line, awaiting word, but want practical information if there's any out there. IT seems like a subset of the New Starts part of SAFTEA-LU, if that makes any sense. dave |
