is this site slow to load

Of all the internet sites I visit, this one is the slowest. Is there are reason why?

You're not the only one having to wait a long time for the site to load. I find that the home page pops up quickly, but Interchange is extremely slow if I'm able to get it at all.

Are you on dial up connections, DSL, or what?

I'm not having any access problems at all, and haven't since we migrated.

Anybody else having simlar problems?

Interesting...the two parts of RYPN are on two different servers in the same rack in our datacenter. And the server that hosts the interchange is actually loaded more lightly than the one that hosts the front page.

I'll set up a couple of load monitors to see if anything unusual is going on. When I check the interchange from our remote site in Olympia, WA (we're in Minnesota) it comes up quickly, at the moment.

I'll advise of anything our engineers find.

I have always had the same problem. However, sometimes the home page gives a busy signal too, i.e. a white page with "server busy" or something.

I'm on a cable modem at home and DSL at work. The interchange is the SLOWEST site I visit. As a gauge, ebay is faster as is the Chaski site.

I noticed the slow down when the interchange archive stuff (or what ever it was) was merged in. That was the point of the big speed change.

I don't notice a problem.

Maybe it's because I live in Olympia, WA and I'm closer to the server.

Yes, the home page loads fast but interchange is slow. I have a cable modem at home and a T-1 at work and both are slow to load.

I also have problem with the site not remembering me to automaticly log me in. It had worked up until the site crashed a couple of months ago. I have to log in every time at home and work. As a benchmark other sites I visit often remember me. This occurs in both inerchange and classified.

I have a cable modem, log in manually each time, and have no problem.

I don't find it slow to load, but I do find it slow to connect with the server. I have to wait at least 15 to 20 seconds. Once it makes contact, download time is fine. Chaski is even worse.

It does seem that the interchange is slow loading compared to other sites that I visit. It may very well be that it is the time that it takes to access the server. That will make it seem slow.

I have DSL at home and also experience the delay at work which also has DSL linkage.

I can work my way through a thread at a good clip, but when I click on topics index, it takes it several seconds to get back to the index.
I'm on a cable connection. I find it very slow at times.
