It will most likely be the Sacramento Brick Porter 0-4-0t. This is assuming they finish rebuilding the auxiliary tender (mostly used for fire control).

They are in search of a 36” gauge 19" replacement wheel set (original from a Western Wheeled Scraper dump car) The current wheel set was flat spotted, due to being turned the flange is now too tall, and has so far defied efforts to turn it down. While the chill had been worn off the tread, the flange is still very hard. They have tried ceramic tools on the lathe without success. Grinding would work but is very expensive. Any ideas?

We had their Sheffield speeder at the park on Saturday, along with a NCNG pump car and velocipede as part of the celebration for the car shop ground breaking.

Randy,

Can you share some more details about the ground breaking? The 2005 Labor Day was my first time to SPCRR and it was very well worth the trip from Portland to see it. Sure do love that Porter!
