CN Spadina roundhouse in Toronto, from the CN tower. All gone now.

And they have the nerve to call it "Progress." I remember seeing 6060 hot in that roundhouse circa 1974. Oh well.

That isn't quite the same view Bob. Today, home plate in the Rogers Centre (formerly SkyDome) is roughly where the turntable was. The more modern shot of the golf course you also posted is on the west side of Spadina Avenue. The roundhouse was on the east side. However it was all yard where the golf course is now.

The 1980 overhead view shows a large number of heavyweight passenger cars on the loop track around the roundhouse. When we saw this view around 1985, there were still one or two of these cars on the site, tipped on their sides and being cut up.

The golf course is gone now too. The land is being developed for condos.
