Ah, how far-out Ebay listings can be. No roof, no floor and ONLY $10K to start the bids. I just love how so many people seem to think anything "railroad" is worth big bucks. The ads are also amazing in showing just how uneducated and semi-literate Americans have become. Even Mr. Haney was smoother and more amusing than the current crop of Ebay snake-oil purveyors!!! |

Actually, the caboose will be much lighter without all that rotten wood, and demolition and cleanup has pretty much been done for the prospective buyer. The inner surfaces of the metal walls and framing are readily accessable for rust conversion, repair, etc. I'd rather have this one than one still mostly composed of rot that needs to be removed as a starting point. Saves a lot of time and work. dave |

These guys have been watching Barrett Jackson auctions for too long. They think because old cars are being snapped up by people with more money than brains, that anything old is worth a ton of money. Later! Mr. Ed |
