Does any one know the purpose of UP's Sweeney stack? I've noticed that locos with this application generally have an extended smokebox, and OSL was one of the areas where it was used. I'm trying to find out what the entire exhaust system looked like. There's at least one preserved UP 2-8-2 that still has this arrangement (2564??). Thanks for any help you can give me on this.
