The Westerb Railway Nuseum has just sold a PCC street car which was ex SF Muni, ex Toronto Transit and ex Kansas City Transit. The car is going on static display at the Kansas City Union Station. to promote the return of rail transit. Does anyone have any information what the group is called and what they want to do? Is it Light Rail or Heritage Street Cars or both? Here in San Francisco we have crowds on the Heritage street cars of the F Line. To the extent that I had to wait for another car last week! And the Muni is testing cars on the new Light Rail Line on Third Street. Ted Miles |
