Last Saturday I had the opportunity to see what the Ma & Pa Historical Society people are doing at Muddy Creek Forks are doing. No, it's not as exciting as the East Broad Top, but it is the last remaining piece of Ma & Pa trackage in existence.

I've been following the posts about the Ulster & Delaware with much interest. I'd like to recommend a visit to Muddy Creek Forks to anyone who is in the area. I'd also like to thank Wayne Eissele of the Strasburg who was volunteering there that day for showing my friend and I around.

Their museum is open every Sunday from 1-5, and I hope to get back there soon with my wife (reluctantly) in tow.

Judging from their web sites, I think it is the Maryland and Pennsylvania Railroad Preservation Society, not the Maryland and Pennsylvania Railroad Historical Society that owns Muddy Creek Forks.

In any case, high on my list of places to visit, yet I never seem to get further east than Rockhill Furnace.
