Time for a progress report on CNJ 113: All flexible staybolt sleeves have been installed. There are over 900 on the locomotive and this has been a very labor intensive process. We are beginning to install the new flexible staybolts. We received a new cast and machined turret and are ready to install it. We are installing all new studs on the outer firebox sheets for the appliances. New leaf springs have been fabricated and new spring keepers have been cast for the tender trucks and are ready to be installed. As all steam restorers know, these brief statements don't even begin to describe the thousands of hours of labor involved in these steps of the project.

Thanks for the update. It sounds like she is getting a great amount of work done on her. Keep up the good work.

Sorry, we have no website at this time--too busy working on the engine. If you have any specific questions contact us at rrproject113@hotmail.com.
