What is the status of ex SP 745? Have heard rumors that it dropped a soft plug and I know they have had trouble with the crank pin.

Anyone have first hand info?

745 was removed from the train in Oklahoma during the portion of the trip when it was still being towed by the diesel (745 would have been on the point from Shreveport-New Orleans). The trip continued behind the diesel and made it New Orleaens. The latest I have heard is that it was removed from the train due to injector failure.
