Last weekend the Michigan Transit Museum had the opportunity to work with the East Troy Electric Railway Museum. We traded our North Shore car #761 for the East Troy's South Shore car #11. With all the talk of how museums fail to help one another or collect junkyards of equipment it was a great feeling to work with a museum in such a positive manner. This would not of been possible without help from the Big Red Machinery Movers of Milwaukee who disassembled, transported and reassembled both cars. Additionally I would like to thank the crew from the Marines 472 wing support squadron from Selfridge Air National Guard Base where our collection is stored. Also for both museums to rationalize their collections to follow what the museums focus and mission is was great. I hope that this show as an example and starts to a trend amongst museums to work together more. If any other museums have made trade(s) or have been working to rationalize their collections I would like to hear about them

Roundhouse Railroad Museum in Savannah has traded some SAL CTC boards to SCRM and Southeastern Ry Museum for some small items. A trade of a small 0-4-0T of Atlanta heritage to SERM for a Central of Georgia coach now in the SERM rust line being discussed.
