This locomotive has already been sold to individuals in the LA area and has been moved to a secure location as of last Wednesday. It is being surveyed for possible return to operation, which will be a formidable task as many of the parts fabricated for the cosmetic restoration will need replacement as well as the usual concerns with older machinery. FYI this engine is a twin to the Disneyland RR #3 "Fred Gurley", which was also originally a Godchaux 0-4-4T.

I see in the history that this engine was owned by IRM at one point.
Was this engine ever on the property at IRM, can anyone elaborate further on IRM's involvement / ownership ?

This was one of the three Great America (Gurnee, IL) locomotives that sat out near the former Honest Nick's El Car City/graveyard in the back. I seem to remember a South American Baldwin Mogul, a Porter Forney that is now in Denver, and this engine. None of these were restored at the time, they were all hulks.
