The following link is to some new photos of the work progressing in Altoona on our 105' twinspan turntable. It's tough to thank everyone by name who has gotten the table to this point but a great deal of credit belongs to Neil Myers, Director of Operations at the Railroaders Memorial Museum. We have the best fabricator and welder around!

A huge thank you to ORX Corporation for the wheel, bearing and axle work, our neighbors at Altoona Pipe and Steel for much of the steel fabrication, EMS Corporation for the motor work and machine shop work, Saylor and Sons for letting the 12 ton crane "hang around" in the yard for us to use, and all the volunteers who have put many hours into this project with a special "Thanks" to the Horseshoe Curve Chapter of the NRHS.

Thanks to Jack Showalter for getting us a great table to start with, the EADS Group for the pit design work, New Enterprise Stone and Lime for the best concrete and stone around, Finkbeiner and Associates for the ring rail work, Jack Calandra and Cresson Steel for all the track accessories, the Pennsylvania Department of Transporation, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania - Office of the Budget, State Representative Rick Geist, Mr. Robert Bennett, and for the pit construction, our General Contractor, J.C. If mother nature cooperates with preparations this weekend and we encounter no last minute surprises, it appears the table will drop into the pit on Wednesday, August 30.
