Before Nelson Blount got it, undated, but still working on the RV in New Jersey:

More notably, a street in suburban New Jersey with NO automobiles.....see the pedestrian on the right. Today, the scene would have cars lined up along the street, and trees/vegetation everywhere obscuring the embankment, bridge, etc.

In 1965, Nelson Blount gave me my first cab ride in #15. Why is she out of service today?

The 15 hasn't run since the early Steamtown days. I would guess it was seen as too small to restore after that - does anyone have any further insight? It is displayed today outdoors in Steamtown.

If anyone is interested, that picture was taken in Summit, NJ in the neighborhood below Overlook Hospital. That bridge is still there, and the RoW is mostly still there, minus a few bridges. This isn't the end of the RV that has recently been the subject of off-and-on efforts to revive it to haul garbage from Staten Island.

I believe #15 is, fittingly, the first locomotive you see upon entering Steamtown (as part of the new entrance to the parking lot, trolley museum, and the Steamtown yard.)
