Am looking for a total passenger car list of extant cars- is there one out there? Looking for some NYC cars in particular. Regards, Joshua |

There is no one current source of all existing passenger cars in the US. The closest were the old Railway Passenger Car Annuals put out by passenger car historian extraordinaire Dave Randall. But it's been maybe 15 years since Dave has put out one of those Annuals. And privately owned cars are especially difficult to keep track of. Your best bet might be to post your inquiry here and see if anyone knows the whereabouts of the cars in question. |

Dear Joshua, There are two groups of nee-NYC coaches that I am aware of in NY state: Rochester and Genesee Valley Railroad Musuem: http://www.rgvrrm.org/about/railroad/index.htm The Western New York Railroad Historical Society: http://www.trainweb.org/wnyrhs/passenger.htm On a related note - does anyone have any current information on the WNYRHS Atlantic Shore?
