Location of the recent school tragedy, in relation to Lancaster and Strasburg. I haven't found it on any map or Mapquest.

It's on 741, a bit east of Strasburg - Bart Township.

If you know Paradise Township's facility at the corner of PA 741 and Black Horse Road, it's just east of there. You pass through it driving from Strasburg to Gap.

Very sad.

Location: Somewhere east of Prescott, AZ along the old Santa Fe "Prescott & Eastern"
To second Kelly: The dateline in all the news stories is basically a fabrication. I've been involved in Lancaster County geography for over thirty years (covered bridges, rail lines, Strasburg, RR Museum of Pa., bicycle touring, and my mother's birthplace), and I knew vaguely where Nickel Mines Road is, but I've never heard of that place as a location. Considering all the other oddball places there I have visited--Salunga, Terre Hill, Nine Points, Tayloria, Colemanville--and all the odd road names I've seen--Vinegar Ferry Road and Butter Road, anyone?--that's saying a lot.

You can find it if you look on mapquest. I have been past that area many times on my way up to Strasburg. If you are going north on 896 from the southern part of PA, you will go through Georgtown. 896 goes to the left and Mine Road goes to the right. Make the right on Mine Road and its maybe a half mile up the road.

The USGS/Census Bureau geographic database calls it a locale and gives its location as Lat. 39/57/32 N - Long. 76/04/50 W on the Gap topographic quadrangle.

So somebody writing software thought it was a location, but locals do not.
