I have an old steam locomotive headlight made by James Kelly Rochester headlight works. It measures 22" Tall,12" Wide,9" Deep, with a 10" lens & reflector. I have been told that it might have come off a street car. However if yo go to:
http://pinnaclewebs.com/railroadimages/headlight.htm ,It is pictured in detail and is called a Rochester Locomotive Headlight. After posting on railfan forum I was told that street cars would have used electric, and maybe it was used on a small switcher. They suggested I post here. Does anyone Know anything about this old oil burner??

Oil burning headlights with ten inch reflectors were most often used on steam tractors, and sometimes on horse cars. It's possible that one might have been used on very small industrial locomotives.
