I have a close buddy working in the Museum. They want to acquire the rather large chunk of real estate next door and expnd from a tiny plot to a comparatively expansive open space. These people are serious about their preservation, too. They are keeping excellent care of the Diesel collection and the passenger car fleet as well. They have repainted and wired up and ex-CNR F7A to appear as a Santa Fe "Warbonnet", they have an operable H12-44 for switching, a rebuilt Baldwin switcher, and FP45, and a host of other locos, including a well kept GG1 (in Texas?), and Big Boy 4018. Eventually, the whole locomotive collection may be placed under a loco shed.
I'd like to see the steam collection get repainted, particularly the Frisco Decapod, but they are, or appear, to be on the right track. Volunteers are the backbone of this operation, btw.
