Reports on TrainOrders.com indicate that Norfolk Southern has acquired the four RPCX F-units formerly used on dinner trains in the St. Louis area, possibly for executive/business train duty ("Office Car Special" in Conrail terminology):

RPCX F7B 2010 = RPCX 201/CNW 410:4/CNW 317/CNW 113D/CGW 113D

RPCX F7B 2020 = RPCX 202/CNW 411:3/CNW 318/CNW 114B/CGW 114B

Further reports at both TrainOrders and the link provided by Pollard indicate that NS may have purchased the NYS&W ex-Metra/BN E8/E9 duo that NYS&W acquired some time ago but have been rumored to be hangar queens ever since. (Translation: It's being reported as "fact" from sources I don't know.)

It is my understanding that the F units will be painted black and white with gold accents similar to but not a copy of the Southern's scheme.

They are in Altoona for their overhaul/mechanical work and then paint.

NS did not purchase the NYSW E units.
