| Post subject: | Trains Magazine 2006 Preservation Award |
The December issue of Trains magazine did not contain the announcement regarding the Trains Preservation Award for 2006. Does anyone have any intel on this, i.e., why it was not in there? Or is it in there and I just missed it? We have a vested interest in this as our group submitted a packet for this year's award. Thanks! |

I believe I heard that the award will be made during the joint ARM-TRAIN conferance in Sacramento and a press release to be issued that week in November. |

Jim, Sorry, I will not be in Sacramento. I wish I was going to be there to see everyone and renew acquaintances and make new ones. But, Orange Empire has one of the last "Day Out With Thomas" events of the year. We have been hosting the blue engine on the second and third weekends of November and this year we will be again. Our dates are November 10-11-12 and November 17-18-19. I will be working (volunteer) the event for Orange Empire. |
