I recently posted some satellite images on NERAIL that show the washouts west of Phoenica in great detail. I've combined them with some photos on the ground that help to illustrate the situation. We hope hext year to clear the tracks in these areas to better assess the situation, and dismantle the hanging, bent or dangling rails and put them in storage. First Washout between MP 27.9 to 28. The woodland creek bridge, a double girder bridge, was removed by the county and put in storage after it was undermined. About 250 feet of track west of the bridge are also washed out. When that happens, the CMRR will reinstall the track in this area. EH |
