Both my website, steamlocomotive.info and Wes Barris's site (steamlocomotive.com) list a Henschel 0-4-0T (C/N 25212) in Marquette, IA

http://www.steamlocomotive.info/vlocomotive.cfm?Display=1467

It isn't there anymore. Relatives of the last known owner of the locomotive say that it was sold to someone "in Michigan" in the 1980s. Anybody got a clue as to the whereabouts of this little critter?

Regards,
Doug Bailey, www.steamlocomotive.info

What gauge was this? It could be a candidate to be at the Hesston (Indiana) operation - I believe they have a Henschel - and that is close to MICHIGAN City, Indiana.

Bob's suggestion seems a likely candidate.

Hesston is home to Koblem Danake Werke 0-4-0T, #1930, 2 foot gauge.
Bulit in 1940 in Czechoslovakia for WWII, but was hidden as the German Army invaded. Never operated until brought to Hesston.
(Above info from the 9/06 Trains Magazine)

Besides being close to MICHIGAN City, Hesston itself isn't that far from
the Indiana/Michigan state line either.
