I think this Illinois project has been mentioned before, but here are some photos: http://www.ngdiscussion.net/cgi-bin/NGD ... read=83293 http://www.ngdiscussion.net/cgi-bin/NGD ... read=83294 http://www.ngdiscussion.net/cgi-bin/NGD ... read=83295 The private project apparently uses foundry patterns and drawings from the previous National Park Service "Jupiter", now in Utah. Incidently, near-identical 4-4-0s (but coalburners with diamond stacks) ran here out of Saratoga for the Rennsalear & Saratoga, later part of the Delaware & Hudson. Photos of some of these locomotives were used in developing drawings for the NPS engine. |
