Not sure which engine this one was (is?). The former No. 1 perhaps? They have mixed and matched so many parts to keep things going sometimes the identity gets lost. http://photos.nerail.org/showpic/?photo ... ydate%3A12 |

I don't know what their numbering/naming method was, but this wouldn't have been among the first. The first locos had vertical boilers. If I remember right the stuffed and mounted relic at base camp is called "Ol' Peppersass." (pepper sauce, Tabasco) |

This is No. 1, named Mt. Washington. Peppersass is also No. 1 but was retired by the time this No. 1 came along. Roger |
