The MOT on St. Louis has PRR, P-5 electric No. 4700.
Received in 1966.

D-L has a NYC RS-32 in Scranton along with the PC C-636.

Ohio Central GP-10 #7547 started out it's life as NYC 5922, if my memory is correct.

Here is a photo of x-NYC (one of 4 built) shop switcher (Bloomburg Power Truck) for moving equipment. It is battery Powered with tether. It is owned by The Beaver Valley Junction Chapter of the NRHS. It is located in Mahoningtown Pa. Unaware of any class or number...Gary

Seems to me that a number of UP GP40's that were recently sold at auction were ex NYC.

Central Indiana and Western EMD Sw1 #88 is a former NYC unit I believe.

A few PRR diesel electric railcars remain:

#4662 in service (painted PRR) at Wilmington and Western RR in Delaware
#4666 at Black River and Western in NJ

I think there is at least one more somewhere.

Don't forget that the PRR "doodlebugs" all started out as gas-electrics.

I think the mysterious third one is PRR 4668, which I've heard is at the Illinois Ry. Museum but I've never seen a photo of it.

In the same vein, the PRR also briefly inherited that Mack railbus, former Lewisburg, Milton & Watsontown, later Buffalo Creek & Gauley, that Strasburg RR has/had (did it ever get traded across the street yet, as I'd heard rumors of for a while?).

My recollection is that the third PRR diesel-electric car is in protected storage at Escanaba, Mich. While it was briefly at IRM many years ago, I understand that it has been privately owned since leaving the PRR. Maybe one of the IRM people can provide more information.

Oh, gad, now we really, REALLY want to see that alleged warehouse!

I could be wrong, but I was under the impression that the gas-electric car in that particular collection was the former Clint Jones CB&Q car that shared the Houghton, Mich. enginehouse that collapsed in the snow years ago with Jones' steamers (CB&Q 4-6-0 175? Copper Range 2-8-0 29?). Of course, from what I've heard from rather reliable sources over the years, said warehouse has everything from the Baldwin Sharks to a chapel car to a complete loco-to-markers Soo Line passenger train to an operable steam rotary snowplow to a never-operated surplus NYC Hudson. Okay, I made up the last one. And ONLY the last one. So maybe it has BOTH CB&Q and PRR doodlebugs........

To my knowledge, the only surviving Burlington doodlebug is the one at the Minnesota Transportation Museum. This may be the same car that you are thinking of, as it has had at least two owners between the CB&Q and the MTM.

Sorry, that's about the extent of it.

Steamlocomotive.info says (and with seemingly recent photos) C&NW 175 is in Hancock, MI with a NP tender, but that Copper Range 29 is now on restored display at Mid-Continent in North Freedom, with some obscurity about any change in ownership (as in, Jones may still own it). The photo of 175 at Steamlocomotive.info shows 29 coupled behind it.

Steamlocomotive.com, on the other hand, shows 175 at Ripley, MI instead, as well as a 2-6-2 #6 listed as being in Wells, MI--the shop location of the E&LS, and a 2-truck Shay reported as under restoration in Escanaba.

Are we far enough off topic yet? I think I'm lobbying my wife for a return trip to the U.P. .......
