In 1933, at the Santa Fe depot on the east side of town. Locomotive and depot still exist, but the rail line (which served northbound traffic of the joint Santa Fe-D&RGW-C&S route) was removed some years ago and is now said to be a bike path.

Strangely, I have recently been involved with a project to return a British passenger car (the last car in the train pictured) from San Francisco to its homeland...

Web site for the project, http://www.swanagerailway.co.uk/news322.htm

We are looking for volunteers to help with the move, in the San Francisco Bay Area, possibly in the LA area as well, in early January.

Randy-

Wouldn't this car have not been used on the Royal Scot tour- I thought it used and brought over for the Flying Scotsman tour?
