Erik Ledbetter reports: "I am very very happy to announce the arrival of Mr. Owen Willis Ledbetter. Owen was born at 4:32PM October 9th, weighing in at 7lbs 2.7oz and measuring 21.5" in length. Mom (Lynn) and baby are doing fine, though Dad is pretty worn out." Erik wanted some time off for this. Not sure why, I mean it's not like HE did anything. Whatever, we look forward to Owen taking over the briefs in the not too distant future. Railway Preservation News hkading@rypn.org |

In these times of constantly having to resolve ourselves to being the best and the most decent people we can be, new life offers assurance from God that the world will continue. Congratulations from us to you. Happy birthday, little man! glueck@saturn.caps.maine.edu |

Congratulations to the proud parents! Am I the only one to notice Owen Willis's initials? O.W.L. Well Erik and Lynn, is it a coincidence or was Owen named with Mr. Link at least a little bit in mind? midlandblb@cs.com |

Congrats to Les Beckman of the Hoosier Valley RR Museum for being the first to spot the hidden clue. You beat Jim Wrinn to it. Owen's name is a combination of old family names, but the initials did help sway the final choice. I have my copy of The Last Steam Railroad in America ready for bedtime reading. (Well, OK, we may start with Thomas.) eledbetter@rypn.org |

Does this mean you can attend ARM/TRAIN 2001 now? Jim Wrinnbo@aol.com |
