Considering that the whole NWP line on that end is out of service, there should be plenty of track to set the stuff on. Moving it there or elsewhere is another matter. I think some National Guard units have three-axle lowboys that can carry up to 60 tons under the proper conditions, but they may all be in Iraq. Perhaps the Governator could help? Cooperation with CSRM perhaps, for temporary storage?

If the December 31 deadline is really serious, what about civil disobedience as a last resort. That's a bit extreme, but might buy some time if the burners are on the property. I think this group's collection is more than they can handle, and it might need to be broken up (the collection, not the equipment) to save it.

I had a long conversation with Marcus in Sacramento - a new storage site has been made available, his challenge is now to get things relocated. This is a pretty significant collection very representative of the local forest industry, it would be a shame for it to be lost or broken up.

I might point out that in addition to the locomotives, they also have four steam donkey engines, rolling stock, and other logging equipment. It was a good representation of a logging outfit.
