This from the charming and talented Sara Gettys at the Rowan Convention & Visitors Bureau for those of you still trying to get into the Holiday Inn for the meeting, which will be in full swing a month from today: The Holiday Inn has a couple of rooms available during the convention; however, they are smoking rooms. If someone is interested, they should call Therese (ter-hes--she is from England) at (704) 637-3100. The key is to talk with Therese! Otherwise, if you need lodging, try the hotels listed at www.visitsalisburync.com or call the convention and visitors bureau (ask for Sara) at 800 332 2343. Jim Wrinnbo@aol.com |

I also have a non-smoking room that may be available. I book two rooms, but only two of us are going to make it so I might have a spare at the Holiday Inn. Email me at tnold@bigfoot.com if you are interested. Have the Sept. 11 > events > caused any problems with bookings? > TJG TJ, so far both Best Western, Hampton Inn and a nearby Days Inn have been able to take up the slack from the sold out HI. We are now well beyond the cancellation deadline and registrations still come in with more than 300 registered from every state in the Union, Canada, England and Australia. It should be a great time. A few spots remain, but we will close these out either Friday Oct. 19 or Friday Oct. 26, so if you plan to attend, send it on in! Jim http://visitsalisburync.com Wrinnbo@aol.com |
