Webpage with old and recent photos of this rebuilt heavweight car at Klondyke, Texas. Not sure who owns it or plans for it.

Trinity Valley Railroad Club; is this the outfit that owns ex-A&NR 2-6-0 #208 that's currently down at French Lick, Indiana on the tourist operation there? At one time, there were plans to return that Mogul back to Texas. Anyone know the facts?

Hi Les, and all. Trinity Valley Railroad Historical Association, as we are now known, still plans to return #208 home, as soon as details with civil partner City of Grapevine, Texas are worked out.

This is KCS diner 52, originally a heavyweight coach-diner, that the KCS rebuilt with a streamlined appearance in 1958 because they needed a third diner for the Southern Belle. It was donated to Trinity Valley probably late 60's.

It is now owned by a real estate broker in Cooper, TX and sits on her property near Klondyke. She bought it with the original intention of using it as part of a rebuilt real estate office..........the state was due to widen the highway through Cooper, which would "take out" her current office.......of course, she would be duly compensated for that.

I recently heard from her......the highway project is years behind schedule and probably won't happen anytime soon. She said she is too near retirement now to think about building another office. She said she may fix up the car one day but has no concrete plans for that. She said she would sell it, but only to someone who would restore it.
