Steel archways stolen in Utica

Fifteen steel archways were taken from the parking lot of Utica's train station. Oneida County Sheriff's deputies are investigating.

The 25-foot, 1,000-pound archways were used to hold up a train platform, but were removed during a renovation six years ago. The archways, which are rust in color, had been stored in the parking area. Officials believe the archways were taken between April and October.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Investigator Tom Pietruch at 765-2737.

Were these original New York Central platform parts?

No matter....they're probably sitting in some scrap yard by now. How do you HIDE something like this?
