This link is posted in the classifieds, thought all could get a laugh out of the shipping cost info. Take a look; http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... &rd=1&rd=1 |

And twice what I'd be willing to pay for it, shipping costs notwithstanding... |

Just for grins I e-mailed asking if it was on live rail. Seller claimed it was. Sure looks like it's out to pasture to me. if it was running it wouldn't be an all bad price. Wheels look good.(even though there painted like a steamer) |

Although I'd rather have an Alco, this would make a nice stocking stuffer. Shipping to Whitesboro, NY is only $8.25 not too bad. |

Since our CMO lives in Rockingham, NC I ask him what he knew about the locomotive. Apparently it is an electricians nightmare. The locomotive was last used on something like a spray train and at that time had a control stand mounted in the center of the cab with toggle switches for throttle control. The control stand you see in the photos has been put back in the locomotive. It has been sitting there for roughly 10 years and is connected to active track as far as he knows. He would only want the locomotive for a parts locomotive and does not think it is worth more than 10 percent of the asking price. The shipping is the only bargain I see in this auction. John Bohon |

The air box on it looks like something from a Paducah rebuild. |

It looks to me like a low-nosed GP9, rather than a "real" GP20. At any rate, it is suffering from the typical E-bay syndrome of grossly inflated starting price (and most likely reserve price) by someone looking for a naive buyer. |
