Not sure how this Otto Perry photo made it onto the ABPR, but don't shoot the messenger. How is the restoration effort on this engine coming?

Bob:

Tell me more! This poor thing has been out in front of the Civic Center in Butte, MT since I was a child near there. I didn't know anyone cared about her.

It does have a roof cover but the last time I saw it it was decorated with several generations of Christmas lights and had a wooden "cowcatcher" pilot. I don't think the tender that is displayed with it is the one in the photo but I'm not an expert.

Does anyone know more about a restoration?

Scott

Someone from the group contacted us a few years ago, but I've since lost the email address. At the time, I asked them to keep us posted, but never heard anymore. I think they were only planning cosmetic work, but don't know how much was done.
