CN trainset sold

Does anyone know who purchased the CN trainset that was advertised on the Ozark Mountain Railcar web site? Where might they be headed? The set, which included 2 F's, was apparently purchased but there are 4 cars now being sold separately, including the power car and the ex- Milwaukee Road sleeper. Just wondering.

apparently it was the West Coast Railway Association. This was by far one of the best complete passenger sets in north america. I knew it was going to be split upby the end of november, but i didn't know what the split was going to be. Too bad it wasn't kept together as one unit.

I have never heard of this organization before. I just looked at their website an am very impressed with their collection. It's good to hear that the trainset is going to a group that will give it a good home.

I need to make some plans to visit them soon (but in the summer - too darn cold up there now).

The West Coast Rail Association has been around for several years. They just recently completed the restoration of ex- CPR Royal Hudson 2860, and should be running regularly again next summer. That's why they bought the train set. The F's are backup power.

Although I haven't heard any definite plans, I would assume the Royal Hudson will be operating during the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

What route will they use? CN now owns BCR, and I don't think there's a branch out of Squamish.
