Post subject:  Conway Scenic # 7470

I was at the Conway Scenic RR this past weekend,,,and the Ex CN # 7470

was under Steam,,this will be her last run,,under Steam until next year..

The engine ran flawlessly,,pulling the Polar Express,,,the train consisted

of 9 coaches ,,plus 2 FP-9 Diesel's...

The train from Conway too Glen NH,,,about 3.5 mile's the Diesel's pulled..

the train North,,and Steam pulled it South,,,once back at North Conway,,

and passenger's unloaded,,and the next group of passenger's boared the

Polar Express,,the train headed South too Conway NH,,,with Steam doing,

all the work,,,the weather in NH was cold,,,but no snow,,,except for the

man made,,snow at the ski area's,,,The only real snow was at the Mount

Washington Cog RR and again with running on the Cog,,,even though

steam with or without snow is a beaitful thing,,,but the cold temp's really

show's steam at it's best,,,,even without the snow,,,said enough,,Pat
