anyone know where we can acquire a coupler (or two)???

What type of Coupler is needed? Many different types out there...

Well, yes, there are many different types of couplers. Commonly available might be an E 60. But I think that refers to the knuckle area, and you have top operated, bottom operated, different shanks, and different draft gear. If you are interested we have some freight equipment in the St Louis area that will soon go to scrap and material is available to who ever would want to salvage it, at scrap price or lower.

The cars have been offered before, essentially free, but no takers.
