Pass the word: If you haven't already gotten a ticket, it's too late now. We'll have a record crowd of about 320 for this one!

Per JAC's request below, I'll try to get together a seminar schedule I can post here or in the news section for those of you who want to study it before you get here. The conference guide is at the printer and we tinkered it some this morning, but I think I can get a version early next week if there is enough interest that can be set here.

All I have left to say is this: Bring beer money!

Is there a list out showing who will be attending?

Wow, 320 registrants!!

And closing the registration. Many times in the past at least at the ARM meetings we have had last minute walk-ins. I guess they'll be out of luck -- unless there is a secret pad to the count.

Regarding the inquiry about who's attending. In the past few years the ARM meetings have provided a list to the people in attendance.

By the way, I was at the 21st Narrow Gauge Convention in Salt Lake City last month. They had about 760 or so registrants. The group handling the registration said that based upon previous conventions they were expecting 1100-1200 people and about 2/3 being walk-ins. Since this was one week after 9-11 they figured that had an affect.

Yeah Bud, every one I have ever attended has had walk ins with checkbooks in hand. You better prepare to deal with them. Most people can understand that catered stuff might not be available last minute but historic expectations about the entire conference availability are otherwise.

Dave, Brian & others:

As was well stated in the convention registration booklet, "capacities are limited" and "register early." Those were not empty threats--just finite realities. To those who didn't read and heed, I'm truly sorry, but if don't be surprised if walk ons are not able to be accommodated.

As for those already registered, get ready to have some fun! Jim

Jim-
For those of us that have registered, where do we pick up our tickets/ registration packets, especially if we are arriving late? This is a first ARM/ TRAIN for me, so could you clue me in on the procedure?
Also, you may want to pass along that if registrants haven't booked their hotel rooms yet, they better do so quick. I was told by the Days Inn staff that they don't have many left there, and I know the main hotel is sold out.

Will there be a waiting list?

Pick up your registration packet at the Holiday Inn on Jake Alexander Blvd., where the seminars and vendor displays will be taking place.

As for a waiting list, we don't have the luxury of being able to compile one at this point.

Thanks. For those of us arriving Monday and going on the Murphy Branch/Tweetsie trip, what are the hours of the registration desk both Mon PM and Tue AM? Also, when and where do we have to be Tue AM for the buses.
