Post subject:  What exactly is limited cut-off

I was reading the Berkshire article in Steam Glory 2 and there was mention of the advantage of limited cut-off. What exactly is the advatange of this? Does this hinder starting from a dead stop?

Just to add to the conversation,I have been told that limited cutoff locomotives were run farther down in the corner than locomotive with full cutoff. Having never run one, I hope Rich can answer that question for me.
