Yesterday I had the imense pleasure of watching the last spikes driven into the last of six yard tracks leading into the museum's new 108 foot by 350 foot car barn.

At least 30 pieces of equipment will spend this next winter rainey season under cover for the first time in a very long time.

Copper trolley wire is advancing down toward the new barn and some of the tracks already have copper in place. It is the intent to operate equipment such as electric locomotives and Interurbans out of the barn in the future.

Some time next summer a more formal grouping of equipment will take place in the building with freight and passenger trains on display.

Unlike the folks at Orange Empire Railway Museum, who have built a building for storage only, the WRM will have tours and Interprete the equipment in the new building.

I am looking forward to giving some of those tours!
