Link to the HABS survey of this Milwaukee Road structure in Montana, which served electric and diesel locomotives:

I know the Milwaukee is long gone in this area, but did the building survive?

Bob:

I grew up in Deer Lodge when this roundhouse was a very busy place - primarily maintenance of the Little Joes.

I'm almost certain there is nothing remaining of any of the buildings or track in the roundhouse area.

I seem to recall that when we did a story on the Deer Lodge Little Joe in L&RP years ago, that they told me the "electric shop" was still standing. Anyone been there lately?

Bob,

Remains of the Deerloge Roundhouse can be seen very clearly on Google Earth.

The Harlowton facility can be seen as well.
