In Ontario. Apparently that is a very short turntable the engine is on. These engines previously ran at Pinafore Park in St. Thomas, Ontario, before returning to Huntsville. They were acquired by the original H&LofB in the late-1930s and (to my understanding) the line's gauge was converted from 45 to 42-inch to acommodate them. The line's two original Porter 0-4-0Ts were sold to Harold Warp of plastics fame and have been displayed at his Pioneer Village attraction at Minden, Nebraska since 1953. http://abpr.railfan.net/abprphoto.cgi?j ... ntable.jpg http://abpr.railfan.net/abprphoto.cgi?j ... st_end.jpg Volunteer organization that brought this unique portage railway back to life: http://www.portageflyer.org/ |
