Post subject:  Williams Grove Engineer Classes

The Williams Grove Historical Steam Engine Association (WGHSEA) has announced the dates of their steam locomotive engineer classes for 2007.

Participants receive instruction in the basic operation of former PRR class B4a 0-6-0 643 and will be able to run the locomotive on the group's mile of track.

The classes will be run on the following Saturdays: May 12, June 16, July 14, August 4, and August 25. Also on Wednesday August 29, Thursday August 30, and Friday August 31.

They offer 30 minute time slots for $75 each. You can book more than 1 time slot. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling Bill Medlin at 570-473-5659.

By making an early reservation you will be helping WGHSEA financially during their "off season". With the recent land purchase, 643 and the group's annual antique steam and gas machinery show now have a permanent home, but one with a huge mortgage to pay off. I am sure all dollars will be appreciated. Signing up for one of the engineer classes is not only a fun and memorable experience, but you are helping out a worthy cause in return.

BTW, I'm not part of the WGHSEA group (at least not yet), but just a very happy repete customer of their engineer program.

Regards,
Jim Robinson
